"Crosswords" Closer To Reality
Broadcasting and Cable Magazine is reporting late Tuesday that Program Partners' "Let's Play Crosswords" is about to be placed on NBC owned-and-operated stations in New York (WNBC), Los Angeles (KNBC) and Chicago (WMAQ). This placement in TV's three biggest markets would make the Merv Griffin-created strip a go for Fall 2007, and it's reported the production of the show would be done at the WMAQ studios in Chicago. Labels: game shows, let's play crosswords
Updated Feb. 22:The above information has been confirmed by the parties involved, but the production site is still in flux. NBC-Universal and Program Partners are going to develop an interactive web presence for the show as well.
